Support of the St. Joseph's home

Support of the St. Joseph's home

Quite some years ago we decided to celebrate christmas with triangle® in its very original tradition, in the grace of charity and helping others. Since then our clients and commercial partners simply receive a christmas card noting amongst others the social project we decided to support this year.
For christmas 2011 we settled for a social project of the Christliche Entwicklungsdienst (Christian Development Service, CED) in Chennai/South India, (ex-Madras). The CED here supports a poorhouse that gives shelter to people that have been left behind by their families or that have no relatives any more. In India this very often means living and dying on the streets. At St. Joseph's House a shelter is given to these people including regular meals, medical care, clothes and - most important of all - human care.
We are very happy to make a contribution to implementing the new solar system at St. Joseph's House, which will make daily life much easier there.

For more information on the work of the CED please have a look at www.ced-online.de.

Creating halloween pumpkins safely and easily

Pumpkin carving the safe way

Fall is rapidly approaching and, with it, Halloween. Decorating one's house and garden with hollowed out and carved pumpkins has become popular in many countries now. These pumpkins can be frightening to look at. And just as frightening is the way they are sometimes created - of one does not have the appropriate tools at hand. To ensure the artistic work and fun factor are not marred by mishaps, the triangle® pumpkin carving set is now available in the shops. The set consists of a total of 3 tools for creative design on and in these seasonal fruit. A fruit spoon (for hollowing out), an angle cutter knife (for all geometrical shapes and serrated edges of the lids) and a pumpkin saw (for freehand shapes) will guarantee that every work of pumpkin art looks its best. Their keen blades and carefully crafted designs will ensure non-frustrating, creative fun the safe way.
Trick or treat - Happy Halloween!
The Pursuit of not being unhappy: Carving course for David Kross

The Pursuit of not being unhappy: Carving course for David Kross

German Cinema Film Production with triangle-tools

To give a very special carving course our cooperation partner Alex Neumayer from www.kochenundkunst.at travelled to Berlin the last weekend of June. There he met the young German actor David Kross in order to teach him the art of fruit and vegetable carving and to prepare him for his latest role.
In the German cinema film production “Anleitung zum Unglücklichsein”,(“The Pursuit of Unhappiness”) which is presently being filmed at the Babelsberg film studios, David Kross plays a very introverted young man, who passes his time by carving small pieces of art from fruit and vegetables in the delicatessen shop of his aunt. “The majority of these carvings, seen in the film, has been supplied by us. And this really fills us with pride.”, the world carving master declares.
Despite of his youth David Kross played in some very successful films such as “Der Vorleser”/”The Reader”, Hände weg von Mississippi”/”Hands off Missippi” or “Krabat”. The film “Anleitung zum Unglücklichsein” will be launched in Germany in spring 2012 and is very promisingly casted with Iris Berben, Richie Müller and Johanna Wokalek („Die Päpstin”/“Pope Joan“, „Der Baader-Meinhoff-Komplex“/”The Bader-Meinhoff-Complex”).

Present vitamins & Co impressively

Of course you can just put fruit and vegetables on the table. But from experience we know that little is eaten, and not just by children that are the dinning guests. However, vitamins, calcium & Co can be easily and appetizingly set into scene. Whether apple or strawberry fans, radish mice, grapes formed from cucumber, turnip flowers, melon stars or tomato roses – Georg Hartung shows in his book “Garnishing and Decorating made easy” how simple it is to impressively present a comparatively plain meal. As a trained cook he shows in easy to follow step by step photographs how you now can impress your family members and guests with your culinary ideas. Fresh ingredients, a few kitchen utensils, and a bit of patience all mixed together with a pinch of fantasy, that is all you need. We wish you great success!

The triangle herb cutter

The triangle herb cutter

Natural flavours created easily

Cut and not plucked! With little effort prepare wonderfully flavoured meals easily and quickly by using the triangle® herb cutter. Fresh leaf herbs such as wild garlic, basil, coriander and lemon verbena are placed in the funnel of the herb cutter and are then cut into fine strips by turning the handle. The herbs are not just cut like in a conventional mill but finely separated.
Leaf herbs disperse their intensive flavour far more, when cut into fine strips. So spaghetti with olive oil, finely cut rocket salad and roasted pine nuts become a delicious meal, which can be served quickly and easily to the table.
The cutting blades of the triangle® herb cutter are very sharp and made of stainless steel. For cleaning, the unit can be quickly disassembled.
An information booklet with details for care and cleaning is included in the packaging. You will also find information on herbs, two selected recipes from an experienced master cook and diverse tips and tricks for the use of fresh leaf herbs.

The triangle® herb cutter is available immediately in the colours white, black and green.

New grater series from triangle

Aromatic cooking made easy

Aroma ingredients, such as citrus fruits, nutmeg or ginger can turn, in a natural and easy way, simple dishes into a real delight. The aroma of an ingredient can only then properly unfold when the cell structure is broken up by grating. This effect is not achieved when cutting with a knife. In this case graters give the best possible service.

The non-slip ends of the grater guarantee steady hold during grating. The slight curve in the foot of the grater allows it to be firmly positioned on the rim of a saucepan or bowl, so that the ingredients are directly transferred to their place. The stainless steel triangle® graters can be cleaned under running water or placed in the dishwasher.
triangle® presents these busy kitchen helpers directly in 4 variations.
